According to the AhlulBayt World Assembly News Portal: <\/strong>A senior Iranian official says Israel \u201cwill regret\u201d committing acts of aggression against Syria, and that the Syrian and Lebanese nations will give a response to the Tel Aviv regime.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIsraeli airstrikes against Syria will not go unanswered, and Tel Aviv will regret having committed these crimes,\u201d Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on international affairs, said in an interview with Russia Today\u2019s Arabic channel due to be aired on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSooner or later, Israel will receive a response for its aerial attacks on and crimes in Syria,\u201d he said, expressing hope that resistance forces in Syria and Lebanon would \u201cstand against the crimes committed by the US and Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He said that \u201cIsrael cannot continue its unlawful aggression in the region with impunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Velayati further dismissed as \u201cpropaganda\u201d anti-Iran remarks made by Israeli officials, saying, \u201cTel Aviv is powerless and cannot carry out its threats against Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Iranian official also said that the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement will \u201craze Israel to ground\u201d if the regime dares to attack Lebanon.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regime sporadically carries out such attacks via Lebanon\u2019s skies against positions of pro-Damascus forces or what the regime usually claims to be Iranian targets in Syria, where Tehran has military advisors deployed.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The latest such attack took place on the weekend.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At Syria\u2019s request, Iran \u2014 along with Russia and Lebanon\u2019s Hezbollah resistance movement \u2014 has been supporting the Syrian military\u2019s efforts to cleanse the Arab country of terror groups, many of which have the support of Israel, the US and their regional allies.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Israel views the Islamic Republic\u2019s advisors in Syria as a threat and has openly pledged to target them out until they leave the country.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both Tehran and Damascus have rejected claims of Israeli attacks on Iranian targets as sheer lies and pointless propaganda.<\/p>\n
