{"id":311897,"date":"2020-11-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-25T20:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahlulbaytworldassembly.org\/%d8%a7%d8%ae%d8%a8%d8%a7%d8%b1\/icro-condoles-death-of-indian-shia-scholar\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T10:21:56","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T06:51:56","slug":"icro-condoles-death-of-indian-shia-scholar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ahlulbaytworldassembly.org\/en\/news\/icro-condoles-death-of-indian-shia-scholar\/","title":{"rendered":"ICRO condoles death of Indian Shia scholar"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>According to the AhlulBayt World Assembly News Portal: <\/strong>Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman offered condolences on the death of senior Indian Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Sadiq.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In a message on Wednesday, Ebrahimi Torkaman described the late cleric as a prominent figure and an honorable scholar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">He said the legacy of Maulana Kalbe Sadiq and other great Shia figures of India will continue to shine in India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Ebrahimi Torkaman expressed condolences to the cleric\u2019s family and his students, as well as India\u2019s Muslim community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Maulana Kalbe Sadiq was the vice president of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">He died in the city of Lucknow, the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday night at the age of 83.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">He was an educationist, Islamic scholar and ambassador of communal amity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">He was born into a Shia family in Lucknow in 1939.
