{"id":313088,"date":"2021-01-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-23T20:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahlulbaytworldassembly.org\/%d8%a7%d8%ae%d8%a8%d8%a7%d8%b1\/senior-burundian-shiite-cleric-passes-away\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T13:11:51","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T09:41:51","slug":"senior-burundian-shiite-cleric-passes-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ahlulbaytworldassembly.org\/en\/news\/senior-burundian-shiite-cleric-passes-away\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Burundian Shiite cleric passes away"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><strong>According to the AhlulBayt World Assembly News Portal: <\/strong>Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ibrahim Kikomo, one of the Shiite clerics active in Burundi, passed away.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>The late Sheikh Ibrahim Kikomo was born in 1964 in the city of Rumge in Burundi in East Africa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\nHe completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown, and after receiving his diploma at the Islamic Cultural School, he began to study religious sciences. After completing this course, he emigrated to Sudan and studied at higher levels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\nAfter returning from Sudan, he became interested to the religion of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) due to his studies and became a Shiite. This happened in 1990 and changed his destiny.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\nHe was engaged in promoting the teachings of the Qur&#8217;an and Atrat in his country and established &#8220;Isna-Ashar Shiite Institute&#8221; with the help of his friends in 1999 and became the vice president of the institute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\nSheikh Ibrahim Kikomo was elected chairman of the Isna-Ashar Shiite Ulema Assembly and the AhluBayt (a.s.)
