He was the chief of the Bani Hashem tribe and had a special place among the Quraysh. He was with the Prophet of Islam during his 10 years in Mecca, after his Be\u2019that,\u201d said the Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Hojat al-Islam Sheikh \u201cNaeem Qasim\u201d, during his speech at the ceremony, referring to the services of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) to Islam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cHazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) was a supporter of the mission and encouraged his son, Ja\u2019far, to say prayers behind the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). He also confirmed the action of his brother Hazrat Hamza (a.s.) to believe in the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cIf Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) was not with the Prophet (p.b.u.h), the Mushrekin (polytheists) would not have allowed the Prophet (p.b.u.h) to call to Islam and it was even possible that they would have killed him,\u201d stated the Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cHazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) along with Bani Hashim were under economic sanctions in the Sh\u2019eb of Abi Talib from the seventh to the tenth year of the Be\u2019thaat. When Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) passed away in the tenth year of the Be\u2019that, the Prophet (p.b.u.h) called that year a Year of Sorrow, and said, \u201cI will intercede for my uncle.\u201d What higher reason than this is for the faith of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.)?
