According to the AhlulBayt World Assembly News Portal: <\/strong>The closing ceremony of the \u201cInternational Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)\u201d was held on Thursday evening, March 11, 2021, at the Imam Khomeini School in Qom.<\/p>\n

\nOn this day, after three years of activity, this important scientific and cultural event ends its work in a three-day conference, by presenting dozens of books and articles, translating dozens of valuable works, and holding 42 scientific pre-sessions, several art events, and cultural festivals, and holding sessions for five specialized committees.<\/p>\n

\nAs the first speaker at the closing ceremony of the \u201cInternational Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)\u201d, Sheikh Mahmoud Akam, the Sunni Mufti of Aleppo, Syria, delivered his speech via video conference.<\/p>\n

\nAt the beginning of his speech, he appreciated the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and organizers of the conference for holding it.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cAnyone who doubts the faith of Aboutaleb has sinned. Abu Talib supported, defended, and protected the Prophet, and for the sake of him and the religion of Islam, he confronted the violence of the polytheists,\u201d added Sheikh Akam, emphasizing that Abu Talib (a.s.) had faith.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cHazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) confirmed the Prophet with his actions, words, thoughts, and positions, and when he died, Hazrat Khadijeh, the wife of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), died in the same year,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cAll you have to do is adapt this verse to your position on Abu Talib,\u201d said the Syrian Mufti, referring to verse 23 of Surah Al-Shura which says, \u201cSay, \u2018I do not ask you any reward for it except the love of [my] relatives.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThere are many similar and converging Quranic verses,\u201d added Sheikh Akam, referring to verse 107 of Sura al-Kahf which says, \u201cAs for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, they shall have the gardens of Firdaws for abode.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\u201cAbu Talib (a.s.) apparently did not convert to Islam and did not say the Shahada, which is one of the pillars of Islam. But he also did not say anything that was clearly in conflict with it. His words and deeds have been narrated as evidenced to his loyalty to his nephew\u2019s religion (Islam),\u201d Syrian Mufti continued.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe reasons for faith are located in the heart of Abu Talib (a.s.). There is direct evidence that shows that he praised the Prophet with his firm words, and in his clear poems, he has praised his religion. Ibn Abi al-Hadid has mentioned these poems in his commentary on Nahj al-Balaghah,\u201d said the prominent mufti of Aleppo, Syria.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThere are some positions that prove the faith of this great man. Abu Talib\u2019s certificates of faith are valid. Abu Bakr said in this regard, \u201cI swear to the one who sent you the truth, I am happier with Abu Talib\u2019s Islam than my father\u2019s conversion to Islam\u201d,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cSuyuti mentions in al-Khasais that at the time of his death, Abu Talib invited the sons of Abd al-Muttalib and told them in his will, \u201cYou will not prosper in the end unless you listen to Muhammad, follow him, and follow his command. So, follow him and help him to be guided\u201d,\u201d continued Sheikh Akam.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cQarfi al-Maliki in his commentary on Tanqih al-Usul said that Abu Talib was a believer in appearance and inwardness. But he did not follow the rules of Islam publicly. Many Sunni scholars have written books proving the faith of Abu Talib, of which we refer to al-Suyuti, Zayni Dahlan, al-Barzanji, al-Sha\u2019rani, al-Sabki, al-Qurtubi, Abu Zuhra, al-Orf, and so on. They are so numerous that they are difficult to count,\u201d said the Syrian Mufti.<\/p>\n

\nIt should be mentioned that by the initiation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and support and cooperation of the similar institutions, including, \u201cImam Hossein (a.s.) Holy Shrine\u201d, \u201cHazrat Aboutaleb Research and Publishing Institute\u201d, \u201cThe World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought\u201d, \u201cIslamic Sciences and Culture Academy of Islamic Propagation Office\u201d, \u201cAl-Mustafa International University\u201d, \u201cHawza Language teaching center\u201d, \u201cInternational University of AhlulBayt (a.s.)\u201d, \u201cMirath-e Nabowat Cultural Institute\u201d, \u201cJamiat al-Zahra Seminary University\u201d, \u201cZorria al-Nabawia Research Center\u201d, \u201cQasem ibn al-Hassan (a.s.) Religious-Cultural Institute\u201d, and \u201cAbna al-Rasoul Cultural and Artistic Institute\u201d; international conference \u201cHazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)\u201d was held on Rajab 25, 26 and 27, 1442 (March 9, 10 and 11, 2021) on the anniversary of the demise of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.).<\/p>\n
