{"id":316349,"date":"2021-06-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-11T19:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahlulbaytworldassembly.org\/%d8%a7%d8%ae%d8%a8%d8%a7%d8%b1\/shaker-golan-heights-allows-israel-to-launch-short-range-missile-strikes-against-countries-in-region\/"},"modified":"2026-07-12T08:52:24","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T05:22:24","slug":"shaker-golan-heights-allows-israel-to-launch-short-range-missile-strikes-against-countries-in-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ahlulbaytworldassembly.org\/en\/news\/shaker-golan-heights-allows-israel-to-launch-short-range-missile-strikes-against-countries-in-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Shaker: Golan Heights allows Israel to launch short-range missile strikes against countries in region"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>According to the AhlulBayt World Assembly News Portal: \u00a0<\/strong>The book, \u201cThe Importance of the Golan Heights from the Perspective of Israel\u2019s \u200eSecurity and Its Survival\u201d was unveiled at a ceremony attended by advisers to the \u200eSupreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the President, the ambassadors of \u200ePalestine and Syria, representatives of Islamic Resistance groups and a group of senior \u200egovernment officials.\u200e This book was published by the Abna al-Rasul Institute with the participation of the \u200ePolitical Office of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement in Iran and the Committee \u200efor the Support of the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People.\u200e<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\nAli Shaker, the author of the book \u201cThe Importance of the Golan Heights from the Perspective of Israel\u2019s \u200eSecurity and Its Survival,\u201d stated, \u201cThe loss of the Golan Heights is a problem for the Zionist regime in terms of security and survival\u201d and noted, \u201cThat is why the Zionist movement, in its manifesto published in August 1967, declared that no Jewish state had the right to return the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\nExplaining the historic process that has led to the promotion of the Golan Heights in Israel\u2019s national security strategy, Shaker said, \u201cThis region is a highland that is a short distance from the sensitive political and security centres in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and even Jordan. Golan is 50, 60, 85 and 110 kilometres from the Syrian Presidential Palace in Damascus, the Lebanese Presidential Palace in Beirut, the Jordanian Royal Palace in Amman, and the Zionist Prime Minister\u2019s Palace in al-Quds, respectively.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\nHe added, \u201cIn military literature, for ballistic missiles, the range of less than 180 to 200 kilometres is considered short-range and therefore the Golan Heights is a complete security advantage for the government or its ruling regime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\nThe author explained, \u201cIsrael established settlements in the Golan Heights just six days after its occupation of the region, which it later renamed \u2018Nahal\u2019\u201d and emphasized, \u201cThis may at first bring to mind a normal social matter when it is precisely a discussion of strategy. After serving in the army, the Zionists are obliged to engage in farming in these settlements for three months \u2013 settlements built mainly on the Golan Heights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\nShaker continued, \u201cThis means that the Zionist regime seeks to create buffer zones to compensate for the strategic shallowness of the occupied territories in Palestine. It should be noted that approximately 70% of Israel\u2019s major infrastructure, such as Ben Gurion Airport, the Trans-Israel Highway (known as Highway 6), the National Water Carrier and the high-pressure Israel Natural Gas Lines are compactly located in a narrow strip between the Mediterranean Sea and the West Bank.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\nThrough these actions, this regime also de-secured the international community and human rights for the international community and put a civilian strategy at the forefront of the Syrian side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">\nIn conclusion, he described the design of Israeli fortifications in the Golan Heights as based on the principle of surprise and stated, \u201cAlthough Zionist settlements in the region appear to be civilian, in fact, these settlements became part of the Zionist regime\u2019s military network after the 1973 [Ramadan] War.
