According to the AhlulBayt World Assembly News Portal: <\/strong>On the Thursday morning, August 25, 2022, in the commemoration ceremony that was held on the third demise anniversary of Ayatollah Asif Mohseni titled the scientific conference \u201cApproximation of Islamic denominations; theory to practice\u201d in the Conference Hall of the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, referring to the position of the late Ayatollah Asif Mohseni, Ayatollah Ramazani the Sectetary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, \u201cThe nation of Afghanistan should be proud to have Ayatollah Asif Mohseni. He was both an alem and a mujahid. He addressed issues that are rarely dealt with in the works of seminary scholars, and this shows the comprehensiveness of his personality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, \u201cAyatollah Asif Mohseni was an influential member of the supreme council of the Assembly, who had a comprehensive view with his knowledge of Fiqh. The Fiqh of AhlulBayt (a.s.) has the potential to be used by the world community. The teachings and practical behavior of AhlulBayt (a.s.) is a model for peaceful coexistence and expansion of inter-religious interactions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAyatollah Asif Mohseni\u2019s had about 150 works. A scientific institution should extract scientific points from the works of Ayatollah Asif Mohseni. He explained topics in detail in different fields of theology, Fiqh and ethics. Some of ulama only specialize in Osul and Fiqh. But there are few figures as comprehensive as Ayatollah Asif Mohseni, and this is evident from his works,\u201d Ayatollah Ramazani stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe proximity of the Islamic schools of thought was followed by ulama such as Grand Ayatollah Boroujerdi. Today, it should be discussed whether approximation is a tactic or a belief. Ayatollah Asif Mohseni had a realistic view of Islam,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cLess attention has been paid to the achievements of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in the field of religious studies. Today, in all the prestigious universities of the world, there is a discussion about the revision of the religions. One of the important debates is the role of religion in global equations and decisions,\u201d added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy studying his works, it is clear that Islamic unity is not a tactic for Ayatollah Asif Mohseni. Rather, it is a reliable approach that comes from the AhlulBayt (a.s.) tradition, and this is evident in the works of Ayatollah Asif Mohseni,\u201d Ayatollah Ramazani stated, referring to Ayatollah Asif Mohseni\u2019s view regarding Islamic unity.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor 14 years, I had scientific discussions with Christian scholars at Sorbonne University. After these debates, one of the Christian scholars stated, \u201cShiite school can answer the questions that we Christian scholars could not answer\u201d. We should introduce the Fiqh of AhlulBayt (a.s.) to others with a comprehensive view. For human life in today\u2019s life, we have content to offer,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday we are facing some realities in the world. For instance, the enemies of Islam are no longer just the East and West blocs. Rather, we are facing parties who are afraid of comprehensive Islam with a unitary approach. They are afraid of a version of Islam that enters the social and political spheres and claims for governance and presents a political model. They are against such a version of Islam. Everyone gathered to prevent another religious revolution from happening. Of course, revolution is different from reformism, and it is a repulsive move to get rid of a corrupt government. Now it is only Islam that stands against arrogance,\u201d added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the obstacles to unity is the lack of understanding of the situation in the Islamic world. We should be aware of the world situation and know what topics are discussed in congresses and seminars. Being unaware of the world situation and its real equations causes a lack of understanding of priorities. The second obstacle to Islamic unity is the destructive actions and conspiracy of the enemies of Islam. Division is the enemy\u2019s plot and most of the victims of these conspiracies and divisions are Muslims. Some decapitate innocent people in the name of Allah. This contradicts the fact that Islam is based on mercy,\u201d Ayatollah Ramazani stated, mentioning the obstacles of Islamic unity.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother obstacle to Islamic unity is the political discords between Islamic countries. Some countries are obedient slaves of the (global) Arrogance. Also, we are facing a series of extremist actions and prejudices. Extremism by any party is condemned. On the other hand, so far, we have paid less attention to our commonalities. In the past, there were no discords to this extent and in this way. Incorrect perceptions of Shiites and Sunnis about each other have caused them to consider each other as their enemies,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmong the approaches to achieve Islamic unity is the creation of research institutes for theological and jurisprudential issues, with the approach of approximation (of the Islamic schools of thoughts) and drawing the attention of Muslims to their common enemy in the current era. In this way, the virtues of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) are published in the world. For the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.), this culture should be institutionalized that the unity of Muslims is the most important approach in the current era. Missionaries should be trained to work for approximation of the Islamic schools of thought. Enlightenment Jihad is the most important strategy in this regard. The axis of AhlulBayt (a.s.) prevents division,\u201d added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe late Ayatollah Asif Mohseni was able to establish both a large university and an enormous seminary that educates people with an Islamic approximation perspective. He did many social services for the people,\u201d he mentioned.<\/p>\n

The organizes of the commemoration ceremony that was held on the third demise anniversary of Ayatollah Asif Mohseni titled the scientific conference \u201cApproximation of Islamic denominations; theory to practice\u201d, are AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, AhlulBayt (a.s.) News Agency \u2013 ABNA, Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, Khatam Al Nabieen (p.b.u.h) University, and the Institute for Editing and Publishing works of Ayatollah Asif Mohseni.<\/p>\n
