ABWA Official Website \u2013<\/strong> In a message, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly expressed its condolences on the demise of Ayatollah Afif Nabulsi, a mujahid Allameh and one of the prominent Lebanese Shiite ulama.<\/p>\n

The statement of the Assembly points to the services of Ayatollah Nabulsi in the political, scientific, social, and religious fields to the Lebanese Shiite community.<\/p>\n

The statement, which was originally issued in Arabic, reads as follows:<\/p>\n

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Peace be to you, for your patience.\u2019 How excellent is the reward of the [ultimate] abode! (Holy Quran, Surah: Ar-Ra’d, Verse: 24)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h): \u201cWhenever an Alem (Islamic Scholar) passes away, there is an irreparable breach in Islam that nothing will cover it until the Day of Judgment.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

With sadness, sorrow, and submission to God\u2019s decree, we were informed of the demise of Mujahid Allamah, Ayatollah Sheikh Afif Nabulsi. May God place him in heaven, and reunite him with saints, martyrs, and the righteous.<\/p>\n

The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly expresses its sincere condolences on the demise of this mujahid alem to Imam Mahdi (a.s.), Lebanese seminaries, and ulama, especially the Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council of the country, students of martyred Marja, Sayed Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, companions of Imam Musa Sadr, all active movements in Lebanon, and the children, family, relatives, friends, and enthusiasts of the deceased, as well as the people of Sidon.<\/p>\n

For that deceased Alem, we ask God\u2019s mercy, forgiveness, and the highest ranks in heaven as a reward for scientific and political jihad, as well as enduring the pain of illness at the end of his life and trying to call people to God and serve people.<\/p>\n

May God grant his relatives and enthusiasts beautiful patience, great reward, a good end, and the continuation of the path of the late Allamah in supporting the Resistance, and just causes, as He is the best listener and responder.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Ayatollah Afif Nabulsi, head of the Jebel Amel Ulema Board, Friday prayer leader of Saida, and a long-time friend of Imam Musa Sadr, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2023, after enduring years of illness. A prominent Lebanese Shiite, he was one of the defenders of the Resistance, and one of the comrades of martyrs Sheikh Ragheb Harb and Sayed Abbas Mousavi.<\/p>\n
