According to the AhlulBayt World Assembly News Portal: <\/strong>Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, who paid an official visit to Syria and Lebanon earlier this month, met Sheikh Ahmad Badruddin Hassoun, the Grand Mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.<\/p>\n

\nDuring the meeting of the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly with the Mufti of Syria, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Syria, Mr. Torkabadi, Deputy of Executive Affairs of the Assembly, Dr. \u201cAbdolreza Rashed\u201d, Representative of the Assembly in Lebanon, Hojat al-Islam \u201cMousavi Tabrizi\u201d, and some deputy directors of international affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, were also present.<\/p>\n

\n<\/p>\n

A unifying document and strategy must be considered<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, today some people are against the unity of Muslims and are working to deny the unity and create a rift among Muslims, and this is clear to everyone. While according to Hazrat Zahra (a.s.) \u201cOur Imamate (leadership) is a refuge against division\u201d. The unity of the Muslim Ummah requires global power in the cultural, political, scientific, and military fields to prevent the infiltration of arrogance front and the enemies of Islam into the ranks of Muslims,\u201d Ayatollah \u201cReza Ramazani\u201d said in the meeting.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cDivision is a great danger. A unifying document and strategy must be considered and love for the AhlulBayt (a.s.) can be the axis of this unity,\u201d he added, stating that the spread of differences between Shiites and Sunnis is a conspiracy of the enemies of Islam.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cIn Hamburg, Germany, I was the representative of the Supreme Leader. A Christian asked me \u201cWhy Islam is a religion of violence and bloodshed?\u201d For, at least twenty weeks at Hamburg Friday prayers, I spoke about love in the Quran, and these sermons were translated and published in German. The slanders against Islam tarnish the image of Islam. Our view of the issue of Islamophobia in the West must be deep and precise,\u201d said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe knowledge of the Muslim community about religion is not at the desired level for which a solution must be devised. The problems and sufferings of the Islamic Ummah are the lack of understanding of religion and a superficial view of it. Why the first concept some people teach about Islam is killing, and why should Islam be known by killing?! According to the first verses of Surah Al-Alaq, the first thing the Quran teaches Muslims is education,\u201d he stated about the problems of the Islamic world.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cIn an article in Europe, three inappropriate traits were attributed to the Holy Prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h): militancy, power-seeking, and lust. These have become important Western media lines against Islam. We must plan in the seminaries and change this inappropriate view toward the model of ethics and education in Islam, and introduce the religion correctly,\u201d added Ayatollah Ramazani.<\/p>\n


\nResistance must be introduced under divine mercy<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe must redefine a new method in the Islamic world and present it against the misinterpretation of Islam and religion. Just as you sacrifice your dear child in the way of Islam with this positive spirit and outlook,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWe must introduce resistance under divine mercy and stand against colonialism and arrogance in order to preserve true Islam,\u201d continued the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, saying that Syria correctly implemented the concept of resistance during this period, which is a Quranic truth.<\/p>\n


\nImamate is more important than the caliphate<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWith Imam Ali (as), the Imamate gained more superiority over the caliphate in the true sense. There are two real concepts of caliphate and Imamate. From the Sunni point of view, the caliphate is a matter of human duty and has a definite and limited duration. But the Imamate, which is derived from faith, remains eternal and has no expiration date. So, we must strengthen the faith,\u201d said Grand Mufti of Syria \u201cSheikh Ahmad Badruddin Hassoun\u201d, in this meeting, congratulating the birthday of Imam Ali (a.s.) to Ayatollah Ramazani.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cToday, the thousand-year-ago concepts of Islam are incomprehensible to our children, and we must edit and present these concepts in today\u2019s language,\u201d added Sheikh Ahmad Badruddin Hassoun.<\/p>\n


\nWe have failed in approximation (between Islamic denominations)\/ We must eliminate the divisions between Shiites and Sunnis and religions<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\u201cTo this end, I propose to form a committee consisting of you, the Chairman of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, and I to examine ways to strengthen and expand this important issue among Muslims, in order to transfer what the late Imam (Khomeini) said about the idea of the proximity of Islamic denominations to scholars, centers, mosques, and seminaries,\u201d he said in a proposal to the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, stating that we have fallen short in the matter of proximity and we must strengthen the axis of the proximity of Muslims and within our Islamic society.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI also suggest that a brief interpretation of the Quran in three to four volumes be prepared for the international community with an approach of approximation and ethics, so that we can introduce the meanings of the verses of the Quran to non-Muslims in simple language and away from religious views,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must note that we must be under the shadow of the Imamate and not the Caliphate. We should not forget that if it were not for Imam Ali (a.s.), others would not have become caliphs. Imamate is stable until the Day of Judgment, but the caliphate is perishable. As the Mufti is under the shadow of the Imamate, but the Minister is under the shadow of the Caliphate,\u201d emphasized Sheikh Ahmad Badruddin Hassoun.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cUnfortunately, some Sunnis also have this ugly view of the Prophet (p.b.u.h),\u201d he said, confirming Ayatollah Ramazani\u2019s words about some inappropriate views towards the Messenger of God (p.b.u.h).<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe Iranian delegation, whether ambassador or representative of the leadership, should not remain in their office. They should come among the society and meet people and remove the existing doubts. They must be with the nation and they must teach the principle of religion. We have to describe ourselves. We must introduce the meaning of Velayat-e-Faqih. We belong to the nation, not the government. Our mission is to introduce the enemies to our children. Because the enemies introduce us to our children incorrectly,\u201d he said, in another part of his speech.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cToday, our mission is not with our nation, it is with others. We must eliminate the differences between Shiites and Sunnis and denominations,\u201d added Sheikh Ahmad Badruddin Hassoun.<\/p>\n


\nI was impressed by Sahifa Sajjadieh<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I read the books of AhlulBayt (a.s.), I was impressed by Sahifa Sajjadieh. I learned from Imam Sajjad (a.s.) to be among the enemies and to attract them with good morals. Therefore, as you said, we must first invite people to love and affection, then guide and introduce them to religion,\u201d He said about the teachings of AhlulBayt (a.s.).<\/p>\n

\n\u201cUnfortunately, some false innovations by the Shiites have tarnished the image of Muslims and Shiites. This indicates our shortcomings in propagation. When Imam Khamenei insisted that you preach abroad, the word is very useful and I thank and appreciate him,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the scientific and military fields strengthen the resistance front, and when Iran gained space power, I congratulated the Muslims on this success,\u201d concluded the Grand Mufti of Syria, emphasizing that AhlulBayt (a.s.)
