The 2nd scientific-specialized conference “The study of the works and indicators of the introduction of Shiite Islam in the international arena in the contemporary world” will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, in the conference hall of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Qom. The organizers of this conference were AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and Islamic Culture and Communication Organization, in cooperation with Al Bayan Institute for Communication, Al-Mustafa (p.b.u.h) University, University of Religions and Denominations, General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom, Scientific Association of Translation and Foreign Languages of the Seminary, Faculty of Theology of Teheran University, Center for International and Communication of Seminaries, Tolou International Center, International Institute Al-Huda, and Al-Mortaza (a.s.) International Institute. In this conference, Hojat al-Islam, Dr. Mahdi Farmanian, Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and a faculty member of the University of Religions and Denominations, gave lecture on the “Requirements to introduce Shiite Islam to non-Shiites”; Professor Legenhausen, translator and a Lasting Figure of philosophy and a faculty member of the Imam Khomeini (r.a.) Education and Research Institute, on the “Comparative study of the works of introduction of Islam and Christianity in the West”; and Dr. Yousuf Daneshvar Nilo, Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion from the University of Toronto and a faculty member of the Imam Khomeini (r.a.) Education and Research Institute, on “Suitable book to introduce Shiite Islam, comparing the works of Western scholars who study Shiism”.

Referring to the articles submitted in the Secretariat of the International Conference on the “Tradition and Era of Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.)”, the head of the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy stated, “The articles submitted in this seminar have progressed towards applied research. Although history is the mother of sciences, there is a need to experts from other disciplines on the research on tradition and biography.”

ABWA Official Website – The closing ceremony of the international conference “Tradition and Era of Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.)”, was held on Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2022, in the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy in Pardisan, Qom, with the presence of ulama and scholars. In this ceremony, which was held in the presence of Hojat al-Islam Najaf Lakzaee, the head of the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, and Ayatollah Mohammad Hadi Yousefi Gharavi, a distinguished professor of Qom Seminary, the authors of the seven selected articles participated in the seminar were honored.

At the opening ceremony of the international conference “Tradition and Era of Imam Hassan Askari (Ibn al-Reza)”, Dr. Rafiei, stated, “Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) was confined in Samarra by Abbasids and many uprisings took place during his time. At that time, the intellectual crises of Ghulat, Waqefiyyah and Sufiyyah occurred. On the other hand, poverty and bad economic conditions prevailed.”
