Hojjat al-Islam wa Muslimeen Ali Moinian, Deputy for International Affairs
The activities of this deputy are implemented through three geographical general departments: Europe and America, Africa and the Arab world, Asia and the Pacific, as well as the Office of Studies, Research and Project Integration, and the Women, Family and Youth Affairs Unit.
Objectives of the International Affairs Department of the AhlulBayt (a) World Assembly

Formulating policies and strategic planning to enhance the status and position of the followers of AhlulBayt (a) in legal, political, social, and academic dimensions.

Managing affairs related to the followers of AhlulBayt (a) in order to strengthen and consolidate Shia communities.

Organizing and enhancing the Assembly’s relations with international and regional institutions of the Islamic world, and ensuring active participation in international and inter-Islamic forums.

Strengthening and establishing local and regional offices and associations, with emphasis on localization and support for the cultural and religious activities of the followers of AhlulBayt (a).

Identifying, recruiting, organizing, and supporting local missionaries.

Maintaining continuous communication and interaction with members of the General Assembly in various countries, and supervising their activities.

Communicating, engaging, and supporting Shia-oriented mosques, schools, institutions, and organizations.

Taking necessary measures to defend Shia communities and protect their civil rights in different countries.

Supporting special programs dedicated to women, youth, and children.

Identifying AhlulBayt (a)–affiliated organizations and professional groups for the purpose of network development.

Conducting applied studies and research on the situation of Shia communities and proposing appropriate initiatives.

Holding educational courses in various countries in both in-person and virtual formats.

Organizing cultural and educational camps inside and outside the country.

Convening regional and international summits, meetings, conferences, and gatherings—both in-person and via webinars—on various topics and occasions.

Operationalizing the social, cultural, economic, and legal activities of the followers of AhlulBayt (a) in countries around the world.

Supporting local offices and councils and strengthening the network of cultural and religious activities.

Organizing the communities of the followers of AhlulBayt (a) and facilitating their communication with the Assembly.

Regulating relations with organizations, institutions, and associations affiliated with the followers of AhlulBayt (a).

Contributing to the enhancement of the social, cultural, and religious standing of Shia communities through joint and on-the-ground planning.
