Funeral service for the late Abdullahi Nasser in the presence of the chief of Shia community of Tanzania + Images
In a visit to Mombasa, the chief of Shia community of Tanzania, the director of the Imam Jafar Sadeq (a.s.) seminary, and a delegation from Dar al-Salam participated in a funeral for the Kenyan Shiite scholar Sheikh Abdullahi Nasser Jumaa.

On Thursday, January 13, 2022, in a friendly meeting, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly met with the staff of the Assembly. In this meeting, some of employees on behalf of various scientific, research, media and service departments expressed their opinions. Dr. Abdul Reza Rashed, Deputy for Management and Resources Development, and Hojat al-Islam Mahdi Farmanian, Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly also made short speeches.

Emphasizing the need for an international perspective on the activities of the Assembly, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “International institutions cannot be managed with a purely Iranian perspective. The Supreme Leader of the Revolution told one of the international institutions, ‘In activities, you should get help from the locals of the target areas. You cannot succeed without their help’.”

The funeral of the late Sheikh Abdullahi Jumaa Nasser, a prominent Kenyan Shiite scholar, was held. A member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, who played an important role in the spread of Shiism in Kenya and other parts of Africa, passed at the age of 90. The funeral procession of the late Sheikh Abdullahi Jumaa Nasser was held from Al-Hassanein Mosque to Ganjuni Cemetery in Mombasa.

The deceased was one of the main members of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and by writing numerous books during his blessed life, he played a lasting role in spreading the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and educating many in Kenya and neighboring countries.
