The fourth meeting of the “Arbaeen Committee of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly” to organize the activities of the Arbaeen ceremony in 1444 AH (2022), was held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, under the chairmanship of Hojat al-Islam Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarean. At this meeting, which was attended by the directors of the relevant departments, it was decided to formulate a “five-year vision for Arbaeen-related activities by the Assembly”, along with short-term and medium-term plans. It should be mentioned that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, due to its inherent duty, i.e., intellectual, and cultural support for the Shiites of the world, every year covers Arbaeen Walk with its cultural and media activities with different topics, and in many languages the. The Ashura International Foundation, and the International Charity Foundation of Muslim Physicians, which are charitable organizations affiliated with the Assembly, also have some activities related to Arbaeen.

A number of managers and employees of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly who either in the form of a mission or in person had traveled to Karbala to participate the Arbaeen ceremony of 1443 AH. (2021), held meeting in this holy city, to examine the activities, requirements and harms of media coverage of Arbaeen Walk. The meeting was attended by Hojat al-Islam Sayed Mohammad Reza Al-Ayub, Director-General of Cultural Services and Publications of the Assembly, Hassan Khakrand, deputy for International Affairs of Ashura International Foundation, Hojat al-Islam Hosseini Aref, Managing Director of ABNA News Agency, Mohammad Nikan, English section Administrator of the Agency, Sajjad Zaheri, Director of Video Service of the Agency, Mostafa Behbahani, a member of the publishing affairs, and Reza Ahmadzadeh, a staff of the General Research Office of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

In response to a question on the opinion of the Iraqi people about the absence of Iranian pilgrims in the Arbaeen ceremony, the head of Iraq’s Office of AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, said, “During the last two years, especially last year, due to the absence of Iranian pilgrims, I witnessed the sorrow of Mawkeb owners and Iraqi pilgrims. Last year I saw Mawkeb owners waiting in the streets longingly to see an Iranian pilgrim.”

In the conference of “Ashura to Arbaeen; Messages and Results” in Tehran, stating that Afghanistan is among the top priorities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the Director-General of Asia-Pacific Affairs of the Assembly referred to the current situation in the country, and said, “We pay attention to the Shiite, lovers, and followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) communities. All our efforts, the Shiite Ulama and elders of Afghanistan, are to talk to the people so that, God forbid, the situation in Afghanistan does not lead to ethnic-tribal and religious conflicts.”

On Thursday, September 23, 2021, coincides with Safer 1, 1443 and as Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.) anniversary approaches, the conference “Ashura to Arbaeen; Messages and Consequences”, and also in its sideline, appreciation of the Haya’ats of Afghan immigrants in Tehran was held in compliance with health protocols in Cultural Revolution Complex (Sarcheshmeh), by the representative office of Tebyan Center for Social and Cultural Activities in Tehran, in cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the Islamic Development Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
