The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, explaining the difference between ignorance (jahl), foolishness (jahalat), and the age of ignorance (jahiliyyah), emphasized that true confrontation with modern ignorance and the system of domination is impossible except through the centrality of the Imam and the system of Imamate, and that the mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussain (a.s.) must go beyond mere mourning and become a field of awakening, epic, and resistance against oppression.
