The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “One of the key features of the new Islamic civilization, or the monotheistic system, is spiritual meaning, and one of the outcomes of I’tikaf is the strengthening of religious spirituality.”

Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stressed that by relying on Tawhid spirituality and Islamic teachings, it is possible to establish a new Islamic civilization and permanently resolve the identity crises of contemporary societies.

Ayatollah Ramezani stated, “I’tikaf is a solitude that acquires meaning with the external manifestation. Islam does not accept just staying in solitude and emphasizes the outward manifestation of deeds to show their effectiveness. Solitude leads to spiritual understanding for humans, and it can have important effects if processed.”

In a meeting with the head of Iran’s Itikaf Central Headquarters and accompanying delegation, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Itikaf is one of the important spiritual assets of the country, which was revived after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.”
